Re: Current Squad & Transfers Poll

I reckon if we bring in two more players we should have cover in the squad.

Kent seems to have come back onto the radar which would be a decent addition. Also I reckon we need cover for KP has I dont reckon Jordan Stevens is ready yet.

Re: What have we learned from the pre-season games so far?

Orta made much of the fact that we were after continuity and so far we have continued in the style and performances from last time. Many flashes of brilliance counterbalanced by us lacking a cutting edge while at times making errors that give away goals. ( even in the Tadcaster match we saw this) In...

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

At the end of the day, we could have the best CBs in the world but they'd still look vulnerable when both our full backs are at the other end of the pitch, that's the risk part in Bielsaball's high risk/high reward nature. We just need to face that simple fact, attacking football is about scoring m...

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

Very similar to last season when it comes to possession, chances created but the early goal gives the players a bit more confidence. Douglas awol at times and boy do we need better delivery from corners and more physical presence when the ball comes in. But we are playing well and an early second ha...

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

Harrison chooses to shoot instead of play in Bamford.

Boy does he need a goal!

Then Roofe hits the bar!

Re: Match Thread - WS Wanderers vs Leeds United (Sat 20th July)

Looking a bit vulnerable at LB Harrison has already been left on his own with no help. Similar to ManUs first goal on weds.

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

It might be a 25-29 man squad but a dozen of those are untried/tested at this level so the same question still stands from last season... Where is the strength/quality in depth that is definitely needed in this division ? Costa is the only real proven quality with experience in this league that has...

Re: Bielsa's methods

Mental fatigue is definitely as big a problem as physical fatigue but I would hope it isn't an issue. Nothing wrong with the mental side of things when we outplayed Derby in the play-off first leg and similarly nothing wrong when we were completely over running them after we went 1-0 up in the seco...

Re: Bielsa's methods

Nice report.

Quadruple training sessions may be understandable in July but of course what happens inside the players brains in the second half is the elephant in the room.

Re: Match Thread - Manchester United vs Leeds United (Wed 17th July)

If you know what to look at in a defender, you'll very much like White based on what's been seen, a big improvement. However, if we fail to go up then it's back to square one with a new manager, our good players gone as well as our good loanees. Hopefully this was just a case of Bielsa not taking t...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 17th July)

Morning Ian, Quite a few of the general stories have already been done, and are drip fed to the fans when there's a lack of stories about. Morning El that is true enough. I just hope that this season all our stories will be generated from what happens on the pitch.. What odds will the bookies give ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 17th July)

Morning all. Not expecting much out of todays game. My only interest is how often we get caught on the break. Seems these aussie journos have been able to get closer to the Leeds players thoughts than the English ones, either that or distance has made them far more forthright in their comments. We h...
