Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

A lot depends more on the keeper's build than just the size. Blackman is the exact same height as Thibaut Courtois and I wouldn't really say he had a weakness getting down to shots. On looking at Blackman's time at Sheff Utd last season it is promising. He was signed to be back up but started the s...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

Yup, I 'm with you Brader... The transfer window is still open, anything can happen, and the club are not giving any clues.... Things will happen..... I have every faith.... Afternoon Hector, I'm not one to sit on the fence - it would give way under my weight. I'll join too... Anyone else its...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

to be honest - noone really knows what is going on behind the scenes. regarding vydra and hernandez - all we're basing this on is media speculation. It dragged on for ages, but who's to say we didn't just enquire and then say no when seeing their wage demands. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion....

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

Its always going to happen in the summer sadly. Leeds can be as tight lipped as possible when it comes to signings - however agents love to slip out stories to try haste clubs into upping their wages. I’m not too fussed by vydra - we already doubled our pay structure to tempt him here. If he thinks...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

From day one I’ve defended Rads but something is starting to stink. Last season every signing was a surprise, they were flowing in, done and dusted, all the paper talk was miles off. Some of the signings worked better than others but we got on with our business, rivals couldn’t poach targets as eve...

Good morning Matt & All

Is Blackman any better than Peacock-Farrell ?

Never played in the premiership

31 games for the Blunts in the championship
Morning Leon, Blackman has to compete with Courtois and Cabellero. Not surprising really.

We've got ourselves a very good keeper there.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

Leeds United: The Elland Road Curse Under manager Don Revie, Elland Road became a veritable footballing fortress - feared by visiting fans and teams alike. But Revie also believed that his team's ground was haunted by a gypsy curse. Don Revie's achievements at Leeds have often been overshadowed by ...

Used to work with a fella who was a very level headed bloke, ecept when it came to Friday the 13th, wouldn't leave the house on one, his brother informed me it was tbeir mother that scared the bejayus out of them when they were kids, he carried it through his life. Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

Is it, Cjay, or is it us living within our means? How much did Leicester pay for him in the end? £20m? Pretty sure we don't have that sort of money to spend on one player. I know you have to pay for quality, but Maddison, for example, is unproven at the top level. Big dough for a player who hasn't ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

Morning Ell. Blackman done, thats ok, decent signing, but 1 loan is still 2 players short of what i felt was the minimum requirement for this week. Phil said we wernt in for Kodjia or Assombalonga i think. Hernandez to injury prone and Gayle well out of our price range . . . . Welcome Jerry. The Pb...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

Elland Back‏@EllandBack1 @PhilHayYEP With Saints making Fraser Forster available for loan and willing to pick up the majority of his £65k pw wages, could this effect Blackman coming to ER. Birmingham want Forster, therefor will have to get rid of Stockdale, or perhaps we will go after Forster? Phil ...

The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 13th July)

Good Morning Everyone Southampton have announced that they are willing to loan former England keeper Fraser Forster out on loan, AND pay most of his £65,000 per week wages. Unsurpringly Aston Villa and Birmingham both very quickly throw their hats in the ring. The Saints have just splashed out 10m o...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 12th July)

Many fans will disagree with you however when Cellino arrived we were almost bankrupt again, he had to get rid of the big earners such as McCormack, reduce staff levels/coaching personnel to a bare minimum to stop the rot, also bring in cheap options in an effort to achieve results. In his last cou...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 12th July)

Mornin Matt, I don't believe anything any papers or online journo's say about Leeds transfers.. The club are tight lipped for a reason, quite what that reason is I haven't got a clue, but if the club are not saying anything, then anything we read is pure speculation, and should be treated as such......
