Re: Premier League debate

Klopp announcing he was leaving early has really backfired.

Also this season is being filmed for a documentary

And Glasner got Palace playing some slick stuff
Not all RedBull graduates were useless clearly.

Doing well

Re: QPR v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Of course any team in this league can beat any other team, Chilli, but the league doesn't lie, we are streets ahead of them. That's not me saying we will definitely win, but if we play to our strengths, then I don't see any other outcome. League doesn't lie of course but pressure does funny things ...

Re: QPR v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Df response when asked about replacing Bamford with Joseph apparently per the YEP “I trust all my players, whoever is on the pitch will have full trust and backing. Obviously a big miss if Patrick actually misses this game, we have to adapt to the fixture list and situation. “He’s important for us ...

Farke's here - Injuries? Normally, with James's injury you are out for two to three weeks. Twelve days. Normally. Bit of hope still. Our medical team are working 24 hours a day to make him available for the last game. Realistoc to say he will probably miss the game, but a nice surprise if he does m...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 24th April) Two horse race for second spot

Fair play to Leicester for holding their nerve last night. Admittedly Southampton were pathetic, but Leicester could have easily been a bag of nerves after how poorly they played vs WBA and collapsed against an on paper better team. But they didn't and played very well whilst it was Southampton who ...

Re: Today's Games

Isn’t this what most managers do. ? CJAY, I get the feeling that you interview prospective partners, and then look for the negatives before considering the positives. 😂😂 Absolutely not  2nd paragraph is correct though, But managers learn and adapt, they don't just repeat season after...

WhiteRose wrote: Tue Apr 23, 2024 8:51 pm After a hammering like this the coach will go ultra defensive for the rest of the season, should of done that tonight really but hey ho
He won't.

Russell Martin is one of those "trust the process" project coaches.

He will just see it as part of "the process".

Re: Flat track bullies - Southampton

I wonder if any of the Saints fans who disagreed with me will have changed their minds? Can see why they concede so many. They've over taken that DF Norwich team now as well for goals conceded. Amount of teams who get promoted conceding 55+ goals is very low for a reason. Absolute pathetic tonight.

4-0

Honestly fook off Southampton

Never seen such a passive performance

Don't close down, don't press, waddle round the pitch like ducks.

Re: Today's Games

Liked how a few minutes ago the commentator tried to suggest Southampton were playing betterthis half as if they were were having a real go. Saints have been woeful considering what is at stake. They've been awful, passive and slow. I think the respective results at the weekend boosted one and dest...

Re: Today's Games

Southampton looking about as toothless as the old dears that Jaydog likes to chat up in Waitrose. Seems the defeat the other day knocked the stuffing out of them. Despite making DF's style look dynamic Southampton are the top open play scorers in the league, most shots, most shots per game etc. Dul...

Arne Slot new odds on favourite for the Liverpool job.

Unai Emery just signed a new deal at Villa and earning much praise.

Andoni Iraola done a brilliant job at Bournemouth 1st season.

Re: Junior Firpo

He won't ever be a great defender, he can defend well, but his positioning can be questionable at best. But he didn't earn his move to Barcelona as backup for Jordi Alba because he was good defensively. He earned it because he was good offensively. Well. He now has 7 open play assists this season in...

Re: Middlesbrough v Leeds Utd - Post Match Discussion

Don't know if anyone agrees or it was in my head (or influenced by Gnonto and Jimmy swapping more).

But felt like we used more of the pitch vs Boro?

Used the right more, not so much Byram but it felt like it wasn't always just left left left?
