Re: Transfers so important

New manager formation several new players, don't expect that much in 18/19 folks.... Has to be as it stands Ayling and Pearce at wing back, but does this formation call for wingers too? or is that front 3 fairly narrow? No i think the front 3 are meant to stay wide, make the pitch big and create ga...

Re: Transfers so important

We certainly haven't got the players for that system of course. 3 at back is one thing but they need the experience and have to be top quality. It is not only adventerous but takes courages individuals to show that they possess the confidence and know how . Bielsa has some work to be doing wish him...

Transfers so important

Having watched Argentina make a total hash of it, it goes to show how important it is for us to get this transfer window right. Jorge Sampaoli is a Bielsa follower, on screen it showed a 3-2-2-3 formation but it looked 3-3-1-3 quite often. Mascherano dropping deep, picking the ball up deep, making i...

Morning Cjay, Foden would be quite a coup for us. I can see players like O'Conner and Diaz going out on loan to league 2 clubs next season.
Afternoon Ell.

He would, know its only YouTube but his videos are very impressive, touch of the David Silva about him.

Unless Shog or O'Conner can make the step up full time (or Halme maybe) then we need a pair of CD's if we're going 3 at the back. One should be a Libero type
Perhaps Klich could do that role?

Connor Coady was a very average midfielder before becoming a cb.

Re: 2018 championship fixtures revealed

Pleased about the start.

Tough fixtures but least it will give us a proper idea of where we are at.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 21 June)

Right choice imo. Bartley was great for us, but thats his only great season and he is now 26, far to injury prone. Foden would be a great signing, prefer we signed these players but if we are getting offered these talented lads lets not look a gift horse in the mouth. Although id prefer Diaz. Foyth ...

Lionel Messi

Since we got a Ronaldo thread seems wrong to not have one for his great rival. My praise for Ronnie as an athlete aside, Messi is the one i voted for as The Greatest of All time. Think he is a genius, he doesnt dive, he is graceful, just a joy to watch. Most people seem to prefer Messi, most polls h...

Think he has become less arrogant as he has gotten older, became a dad etc.

Still not as likeable as Messi but not a bad egg.

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo

Not a Ronaldo fan, he's a self-licking ice cream, but sometimes he does things that make you reappraise him. There's a video on social media of a young Portugal fan in tears having missed the opportunity to see his heroes after the Spain game. Ronaldo comes off the team bus, wipes away the kid's te...

Don't want Stockdale, no better than BPF.

Wolves sign a keeper so the rumours on them wanting BPF should now stop.
Agree, if he wasnt a "leeds fan" nobody would be that fussed.

Mendes working his magic again, great signing on a free Wolves got.

Cristiano Ronaldo

https://mobile.twitter.com/RameshUtd/status/1008422616556711936 Prefer Lionel Messi as a player, as a technical footballer. But as an athlete. Ronaldo is a machine. He is 33 years old and doing 38kph sprints. Said he wants to play into his 40s, and he probably can. His dedication to his fitness is e...

English Player Values

Why is it that English clubs put such ludicrous valuations on there English players? Kyle Walker- A very good full back, but £50million pounds? Jordan Pickford- A decent goalkeeper, had one ok season at Sunderland relatively speaking, £30million pounds? Danny Drinkwater- Had that 1 great season at L...

Re: Championship 18/19

Forest signed Diogo Goncalves on loan from Benfica and broke there transfer fee signing Joao Carvalho for £13-14mil. Forest fans very excited, expecting to be the next Wolves, fair enough. But Mendes sent Wolves Ruben Neves- experienced (for his age) player. And Diogo Jota who had had a good season ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 15 June)

Personally i dont see a problem with saying "player a is crap".

If a players not good enough then there not good enough.

Although Liam Cooper (who is crap) tweeted a welcome to Bielsa, got some ridiculous abuse. That was uncalled for.

Re: Transfers. Signings Rumours and Wishes.

YEP reporting we remain interested in Stockdale but wages are an issue. Surely if he is such a Leeds fan he'd take a wage cut? Never on earth is he a 40k a week goalie. . 15k at most. Reports suggesting Wolves have offered Hernandez £57k a week and a £5mil signing on fee. They can have him for that,...

Those rating Klich, what are you basing it on? Genuine question have you seen him play well?

Reading reports Bielsa doesn’t want Abel Hernandez, he wants Vydra.
Burnley, thought he was brilliant.

Re: Transfers. Signings Rumours and Wishes.

Reports in Holland saying we are interested in dutch international striker Wout Weghorst.

27 and 18 goals in all competitions for AZ last 2 seasons.

Holland debut in March vs England.

6ft6 powerful forward similar to Gignac and Llorente who Bielsa liked.

Fee of around £10mil.

Re: Matej Vydra Vs Abel Hernandez vs Fernando Torres

(1)Fernando Torres - Pipe dream but if it can be done he is my pick. May be 34 but you look at some of the ageing strikers like Leon Clarke, Billy Sharp etc who did well last year. Torres even at 34 is twice the player that 90% of championship strikers will ever be. 2) Matej Vydra- Even as a number ...
