Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds Utd Match Thread

https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/leeds-united-bielsa-live-alioski-15202402 Forshaw is fit to start. Beisla blames himself not Philips. Acknowledged BPF was poorer vs Brum. Izzy Brown and Bamford are miles off being fit (the Brown situation is ridiculous imo). Roofe is very close. Pabl...

Re: Leeds Statistics

Interestingly, Sheffield Wednesday are 1st for attacks down the middle, 2nd for attacks down the left, and last for attacks down the right. There also 23rd for crosses per game. 75% of there goals have been from set pieces, including one penalty. There 3rd for shots conceded per game (we were 23rd)....

Leeds Statistics

Bit bored last night, so i decided to check some of the stats for us over the season so far. All stats are available on WHoScored.com who are extremely respected and reliable for this sort of thing. 1st thing. Defensive. Tackles- We are 2nd for Total tackles made and total tackles attempted. Clearan...

Re: Tyler Roberts

Been one of our best players during his spell through the middle.

Nice touches, good work rate, finishes to and his pace is useful.

I like him.

Probably starts vs Wednesday although Roofe may be fit for a bench role.

Re: Time for a change . . .

Same starting team as Brum, so Alioski & Phillips starts for me Phillips was supreme at Norwich after being hauled off at Swansea Three important blocks/headers that saved us from conceding goals & some sublime balls into the channels, one of them leading to a goal. Alioski starts until Hernandez i...

Re: Gianni Alioski

He only looked good in the last five minutes when he was playing as a wing-back, up until then Alioski had been distinctly average. I can't print what some of our fans at the game thought of his overall performance  He is an international wing back so its no surprise he looked good there. Lee...

to be honest not a fan of his but i must admit but he was better than harrison and most on saturday. hes work rate is good but the lad was born off side.
He is offside far to much.
But he was onside when it mattered :)

Time for a change . . .

In tactics? Without wanting to get hysterical our recent form is cause for concern. While you could argue a point at The Den and against Boro wasnt to bad, the loss vs Birmingham was. If you include the Cup game vs Preston thats 1 win in 5. Admittedly its also only 2 defeats in 5. But its a worry. V...

Re: Gianni Alioski

Interesting the diversity in reactions to ALioski vs Birmingham. SOme say he was awful, some say he was average, Some say he did well, and all of the inbetween. I read today that the player who played the most key passes (defined by opta as a "final pass that results in a shot")was Alioski with 4. H...

Same as the Harrison goal.

Because it was the only goal, vote is now, "does Alioski's goal deserve to go through for the goal of the month"

voting ends Friday at 1pm.

Re: TRF stories: Marcelo Bielsa

Just think its amazing that a day after a voicemail he had watched 7 of our games

How many managers would do that for a 2nd division team in another country.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 25th Sept)

Only watched the 1st half, we wernt to good, only had to half chances, both were Jack Clarke, who once again looked our best attacking player. Whether we did or didnt is irrelevant now, maybe we did cheat, so did Birmingham, or atleast they didnt play the game how it should be ideally. Niggly fouls,...

Afternoon Cjay, with Shackleton, probably because he is a big unit, and was fearful Clarke could get manhandled???

With completely with you regarding considering the Wendies game as a must win...
Must win for the fans i think, but in terms of the season it isnt, just a must not lose.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 24th Sept)

BPF should have done better, as should others. Not sure i believe Bielsa, knowing what a perfectionist he is i imagine Philips part in the 2nd will have really infuriated him. But good managers protect there players. The fake injuries when we looked like we could build something were annoying, as we...

Re: Away Days

Great post, Cjay, good to see the majority of us can remain positive despite a setback. We were always going to lose at some point, rather do that now instead of at the business end of the season. Bad day at the office, too many didn't really play as they can but hugely refreshing from Bielsa holdi...

Absolutely that was strange , it's like as if he punished Phillips and Klich for the goals we conceded.....wrong call.
It was Klich who didnt track Adams for the 1st, hope he wasnt taken off for that.
