Helder Costa

Since this rumour seems to have some legs (unless he has taken to following random teams on social media to pass the time). So the 25 year old is a proven performer at this level. In the 2016/2017 season he was Wolves record signing and without him they would not be where they are now, think thats f...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

You won't find me disagreeing. Unfortunately we have to sell someone to avoid ffp issues and it looks like it'll be Jack. I'd still rather sell Phillips before Clarke. He is the most talented academy player we've had since Kewell and not the kind of player we bring through often. I just hope we are...

Re: Player Profile : Kemar Roofe

Move on for me.

Dont think the club should be offering him £30k a week and if that is what he wants then sell now.

Also frankly im yet to be convinced he is a 20 goal a season striker in the Championship.

6.5 started well but like Bamford to wasteful.

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

So... Helder Costa has started following Leeds on instagram. Seems a bit odd if he wasn't coming then. Guessing it will be Clarke out and Costa in by the end of the week. That doesnt sit well with me if its just a loan tbh. Clarke should be being kept and developed, exactly the short term planning ...

Re: Concerning Transfer Policy

Aside from the fact we are extremely tight and mess about for ages and end up missing out, pre season training starts on Monday. Last season various people said that they saw MB, Orta and Radz having quite an animated discussion after a friendly and within a few days a player or two arrived. MB like...

Concerning Transfer Policy

Anyone else find our plans for this transfer window a little bit worrying? :duno: All reports indicate most if not all our signings will be loans, at best maybe 1 or 2 cheap punts from abroad but largely it seems Premier League loans are the plan. A sale is probably going to be included somewhere to...

Re: Sarri

If Lampard has any sense (and humility, doesnt believe the hype) then he will stay at Derby, gain more experience, try and actually get them promoted and improve on last season. he got Derby to the playoff final, but also got less points then Rowett did the season before as well as conceded more goa...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

Fulham being linked with Adam Forshaw. We are being linked with a £250k bid for 18 year old Carlisle winger Liam McCarron. We still seem to be focusing on the down the line signings not the right now ones we desperately need. If funds are so tight can we really he paying 6 figures for a teenager? Al...

Most technically gifted player we have not named Pablo Hernandez.

Great player.

Re: Player Profile : Tyler Roberts

Keep as a bench player.

Talented lad but far to inconsistent for a first 11 spot and very poor end product.

Surprised we arent seemingly after a natural number 10 given how vital it is to our system.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 14th June)

Wouldn't surprise me if Roofe goes, had a decent season, probably available quite cheap, could see a lower end Prem side taking a punt as a backup.

Whether Roofe would want to be a backup who knows but Villa for example could pay him his £30k a week no bother.

Re: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

He probably isn't but he's young enough to learn, but that's an aside. I will say the BPF's distribution was far superior to purported sweeper/keeper Weidwald, who also struggled to keep. Sweeper keepers also have to keep first be a sweeper second. As Wing backs have to know how to defend...Our gre...

Re: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Cjay I thought it was an issue we had addressed last January with the signing of Kiko. Everyone agreed that we needed to strengthen in that area, and I believe that Kiko has been a plus, especially when we were conceding from corners.. That might be a stat worth looking at but from my perspective w...

Happy BIELSA Day

12 months ago today he arrived :) A club in a bit of a state. Fans divided. Money tight. A squad of players many of us had lost faith in. Today we are title favourites for next season. Whatever happens MB will always go down as a miracle worker in my eyes. What he did with that squad last season was...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 14th June)

This time last summer strong rumours were the club were trying to sell Jansson and Vieira. Vieira confirmed he didnt force a move, quite the opposite, Jansson also confirmed he decided not to leave. Somebody will be going, Jansson, Phillips, Clarke or Roofe, at least one. If the club decide to cash ...

Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

Being linked with a loan move for 20 year old Bournemouth goalie Mark Travers. Some of our links are very odd. Untried kids from Brighton and Bournemouth only on loan. Are we really that skint? Problem with loans is if it goes wrong then next summer we lose all the loans, the manager and we have hal...

Re: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Good point that Bailey isnt a sweeper keeper, perhaps he could be developed that way. What about Huffer and Miazek? They have both been offered extensions to their contracts, what style are they? Cjay I would suggest and high experienced keeper like Kiko getting it right 3 times out of 4 a poor ret...

Re: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Regarding the criticism BPF got tbf he isnt unique, goalies in general split opinion, they can be a hero on Tuesday and then the worst thing ever on Saturday, just have to look at Kiko's thread to see that. Similar to strikers, Klich, Phillips, Pablo misplace a pass chances are it wont directly lead...

Re: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Imo it doesnt matter if BPF is a good keeper or not because he isnt a sweeper keeper. MB wants a sweeper keeper, our style demands it. Kiko imo 75% of the time gets his judgement spot on when coming off his line and that is vital, the keeper has to be willing to take that risk, BPF isnt at this stag...

YEP dont think Spurs will meet Jack Clarke's £20mil valuation.

Excellent news, keep keep keep.
