Re: The Bodyguard/Strangers/Killing Eve

Me neither Norfolk. But my fave all time film is 'The Sound or Music' (memories from childhood) and the other week we watched 'The Greates showman'....twice  but only because we'd seen Jane McDonald perform two songs from the film, 'This is Me' and 'Never Enough' live at The Ipswich Regent. ...

I'll skip the Informer, I hate political thrillers as much as I hate Gangster movies
Musicals for me, can’t abide them :)

Yes Norfolk, a little confusing but we'll stick with it

Re: The Bodyguard/Strangers/Killing Eve

Woah! Watched the last episode of Killing Eve last night. The whole series? Yes, very far fetched, yes, very violent, but I thought it had some beautifully worked subtle comedy moments played out within the 8 episodes. Didn't end how I expected, but that's good. I loved the characters ( I know Jill...

Stick with it, mate, picks up again. Great series on the whole, but the season which focuses on the stories through the eyes of the newspapers (4 or 5) is a bit weak, imo.
Cheers  - I'll give it another go, might re-watch series 1 as it was a while ago.

I watched Series 1 which I thought was good but the start of Series 2 lost me a bit - worth persevering?

The EFL has hit back at Radz by saying “The income received is only set to increase with the latest broadcast agreement (which) represents a 36-per-cent year-on-year increase on the previous arrangement, while also providing EFL clubs with greater flexibility to generate additional incomes through ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 11th Oct)

So basically he wants the championship but with individual TV rights negotiations for each team. The problem with this is that it greatly prejudices against the smaller teams and you end up with a league like la Liga when barca and Real get way more than all of the other teams. Great for us but awf...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 11th Oct)

Radz is right by the way, what we get out of the TV deal compared to what we contribute is totally out of kilter to the money that 3/4 of the PL get against the value they add.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 11th Oct)

what the hell is a premier league 2? isn't it just the championship....? I think it’s more the commercial aspect of a second tier PL that is free to negotiate its own TV deals away from the other league clubs. Interesting bit on Talksport with who had Simon Jordan on Talksport as this was talked ab...

Re: Radz rejects Leeds bids

Problem is we f@*ked up right at the time that football in England revolutionised financially - no question we are there in terms of support etc. but financially we are light years away from establishing ourselves near the top of the PL. Some clubs who were well behind us when we were plying our tra...

Smith was 16-1 in betting yesterday in what was essentially a 4 horse race.....on paper it seems like a decent appointment but be interesting to see how he copes if results don't go as planned. Will be seeing them shortly down at CR so will report back ;-)
