Re: Marcelo Bielsa

40 K a week sounds a lot but it's only 2 million for the year. We've wasted more than that on sacko and cibicki alone, and plenty more elsewhere

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 14 June)

While I'd take either of them....

Bruce knows the championship like the back of his hand...

Bielsa doesn't even talk English.

Re: Is he coming or what ???

Waiting for his work permit which is imminent. Will be really interesting to see who he plays. He will play three at the back with two stoppers and one sweeper and all will need to be able to play out from the back. Think this might put a sell by date on Liam Cooper? The two wing backs suit us down...

Gunn is far better than BPF.

Though the comments about training up other teams players is true

I'd take Bruce you can't complain with his track record. He's the guy to get you out of their division if anyone is

Re: England v Costa Rica at Elland Road

I like what Southgate is doing with this England team. Young, fast and technically and tactically disciplined. First time in yonks that I am looking forward to the England team performing in the World Cup. You’re kidding right? Looked absolutely devoid of ideas tonight ala classic England performance

Re: Aston Villa

Yes they did. Bournemouth were fined for failing ffp and had 237% turnover on wages, Brighton lost £40m and had debts of £170m, Cardiff had debts of £100m, Fulham lost £20m every season and had an embargo after they bought McCormack. Preston are making loses every year and spend more turnover on wa...

Re: Aston Villa

I don't like sneering at others or the vitriol, or laughing at the fans who will suffer and low paid staff who will lose their jobs. However I'm angry that clubs can spend ridiculous sums of money thanks to parachute payments or sugar daddies and we can't compete with them, despite being in a bette...

Good shout Dan,

Yes, Bamba was great

But then..........

Now, he's left, he's absolutely immense again...
that was so strange! I guess it shows what confidence can to do a player (or lack of it)

Re: O/T Visa

Is it only me that finds it annoying when people (usually student looking types) pay for a bar of chocolate, or something else that costs less than 50p with a bloo*y card and not cash - although I suppose it doesn't take as long now - with this new fangled contactless payment way of things (althoug...

Afternoon Dan, let's just say the club wanted to get a successor in place before wielding the axe!
hope so!

it's more money wasted by Radz though too - the 500k release clause paid to Barnsley

Re: Heckingbottom has gone

fair enough - not done a lot here and if I'm honest I feel more confident with someone else taking charge next season. Though I do not think hecky has really been given a fair chance. one thing i don't understand is why they have waited so long to announce this. this should have been announced right...

Yeah i understand what your saying in regards to cant deny credit for promotion then blame him for our form, i see your point. Suppose counter for that is ok, looking at it individually he didnt improve the recent form at Barnsley, just carried it on. But his spell for us was considerably worse the...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 25 May)

1) Won 6 in a row before he arrived, winning is a habit as they say. Wasnt his team either. He was basically a PE teacher, putting out the cones. Selection, tactics etc never changed that season from when Johnson left according to Barnsley fans. Dont blame Hecky for that, if it aint broke dont fix ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 25 May)

I'm convinced he is the luckiest man in football. 1st job- Barnsley had won 6 in a row before he took over. Plus already in a cup final. They continued winning under him for a spell, momentum. 2 wins in 23, most managers get the sack, he got a new contract Then gets a pay rise at a bigger club, los...
