Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 22 May)

Good Morning Everyone Carlos Carvalhal is the latest Manager to be linked to the ER hotseat. The 52 year old has recently parted company with Swansea City. Is Carvalhal better than what we have at the moment? As reported yesterday Leeds are trying to sign Citeh keeper Angus Gunn. The 22 year old is...

Green would be a good shout at a goal keeping coach.

Who do we have at the moment?
Great call, and third choice keeper if we get that kid from city on loan and BPF, not all players make good coaches, but no reason Green couldn’t

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 21 May)

Morning Dessy, well said about Green pal. Unfortunately situations like this happen all the time in business. Scenario - A new employee arrives at work. He or she had previously been working at a rival firm. Boss bigs up that person as being the best thing since sliced bread. Turns out the existing...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 21 May)

Much repair work required as oppose to this time last year when minimal replacements were needed until.............................. Wood Bartley and Taylor were never going to stay, Wood, proven he’s too good for the championship, Bartley was offered a shot at Swansea and Taylor was just a disaste...

Re: Summer Transfers and Squad Discussion

Who? Weidwald? Agree but it's technique that's letting him down, his positioning is dodgy, I don't think he's that good a shot stopper..yet and his distribution is on a par with BPF imo. Send him out on loan but we're not getting our money back if we sell him and we'd probably have to pay his contr...

Re: Summer Transfers and Squad Discussion

Lonners is going and I don't know how much we have tied up in Felix tbh, not sure of the initial cost or what the buy out would be (4 year contract I think.) Keepers are coachable if they have the basics..and I think he has. He clearly has some fantastic basic goalkeeping skills, shot stopping and ...

Wigan rumoured to be bidding £750k for O'Kane. I'd bite their hand off

Cjay would drive Eunan there :car:
That would be a great deal if it go’s ahead! Wonder what we paid for him? Wouldn’t of thought more than a million?

Re: Play-Offs 2017/18

Agree dezzy - I think Fulham, by some distance are the best footballing team (with a minted owner who wants to buy, along with his NFL pals, Wembley).............and of other three 'Boro are the team, under Pullis, who would be the strongest next season. Fulham losing 1-0 now! Balls! A Fulham Boro ...

Re: Play-Offs 2017/18

I hope Fulham or Boro go up too, don’t think Villa and Derby can afford to stay down and have the squads they have next season, any players a potentially ambitious Leeds could realistically afford?

I'm not sure we can say Orta failed at Middlesborough
Agree, he’s a strange one, clearly highly regarded, but hasn’t delivered much yet, here or at Boro, next season will tell

Re: Radz Questions.

Radz is, as Dezzy suggests, still learning the ropes so I too think its harsh to judge him negatively over a single year. He's made mistakes, undoubtedly, but running a football club is unlike any other business he may have been involved in. I don't think he's a stupid man, so I'm hoping he's going...

Re: Radz Questions.

Hopefully with the business done over the summer Radz gets cut some slack, find it strange the perception some have towards him in praticular. I personally would be neutral towards an owner unless he did something really good, or really bad, for me Radz has had a lot to do with lots of positives the...

Phil hay saying we’re due a cash injection, with Radz selling a minority stake in the club!! Great news, things just got interesting!! Smart man, playing the cards he’s dealt and not stretching us financially, I think he thought it was easier than it is and has gone out and acted on it for the good ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 9 May)

De Bock hasn’t been given a fair chance at all, LB would not be top priority for me.
I think Bartley would be a gamble, 2 bad injuries this season, I’d want serious assurances he’s healthy if we were to spend money on him, sadly.
Bartley was the last proper club captain we had for me, vital role.

Re: Ryan Edmondson

Great to have a debate about going up and coming kids and hopefully one of them “has it!” Funny how such a poor season has the positives, Faaips above post shows the squad is in decent nick! If other targets are as ambitious as Bartley along with Pearce, coyle, edmondson and Roberts we could have an...

Re: Why we underachieved

There are gaping holes throughout our first XI, our midfield has been a major problem this & last season. We are overrun easily, out battled rarely winning 50/50 balls, give the ball away far too cheaply & have no pace where a unit breaks in cohesion together. A winger maybe two needs to be address...
