Re: Derby County versus Leeds United Official match day thread

Derby just couldn’t cope, we’ve had so many faulse dawns but you have to be quietly optimistic about our chances especially if we get two more loans in

Ok, then why didn't he actually say what his interpreter said to him? that was my point!! at times we could hear what his interpreter said but Bielsa said something different!! :bear:

Re: Bielsa ball needs height.

We don’t look small at all, add a 6’7 keeper in to that side and I would imagine our average height to be above that of most sides?

Re: Leeds United versus Stoke City - Official Match day thread

No, it's not interesting, it is totally embarrassing. Interviewer asks the question, interpreter whispers in Bielsa's ear, he mutters something etc etc and at times we can hear the interpreter speaking in English to Bielsa and at that point Bielsa doesn't say what the interpreter has said to him!! ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 1st Aug)

Phil Hay said that he was rated by Bielsa and that he was in his plans, but that the club felt the offer was too good... Was agreed by all sides, so presumably they had told Bielsa that they'd bring in a replacement (Woods or whoever). Don't think Vieira would count as an English qualified player a...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 1st Aug)

Am guessing that no prem teams had shown an interest. You wonder if it was Leeds who 'leaked' the story about Cardiff supposedly being interested to see if they could drum up any interest but found nobody interested apart from Sampdoria. Best of luck to the lad, has clear talent, but ya it’s strang...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 1st Aug)

Really disappointed to loose viera, find it strange that 7million was accepted and the deal done so fast. Surely a bidding war would have helped raise the price? But he was obviously not rated by Bielsa or premiership managers, if he went for a relatively low price to Italy, normally English qualifi...

Re: Leeds relegation odds

Would never bet against my own team, wouldn’t feel right, seeing us go down from the premiership and championship I don’t think 20/1 odds would soften the blow.

Re: LUFC Squad 2018-19

Blackman will be a huge boost to our defence, a commanding keeper to gobble up crosses will help our defence settle, Douglas too, I really hope he will instill some fight and confidence in players around him.
Just hope we are looking for a cb to at least replace Pennington.

Re: Marcelo Bielsa

What I really liked about Bielsa is that it’s not all football related, my initial fear fir him and the squad he inherited was that he would be too intense for the squad he inherited, I like the fact he wants our team to be filled with good men and has meetings about non football related topics, alw...

Re: Transfers. Signings Rumours and Wishes.

Thankfully & at long last we've made the most exciting signing in many years with the signing of Barry Douglas who was the best LB in the championship last season Had we gone into the forthcoming season without any quality signings relegation would have been a likely scenario ! So we’re not getting...

It's alright folk on here saying' THIS' & 'WELL SAID so & so' but these supposedly new signings have been in pipeline for some time Medicals are generally completed in a day so there must be some sort of hitch in the proposed deals....as you say Faaip maybe the players don't want to come to Leeds o...

Re: Transfers. Signings Rumours and Wishes.

Trying to be positive and looking at the way we are doing things in a rational way and not one that thinks we are being taken for a ride. Heckingbottom came in mid February, the club had to pay good money to get on board, we’ve been told they have been planning for this transfer window since March, ...

Re: Aston Villa

Sad to see what happening at Villa, a side that went for it, like we are hoping to do, but looking at their spending and wages, it’s ludicrous, wages must be that of lower premiership sides.
Hopefully we’ll go for it, but not quite so full on and poorly!!

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 5 June)

Morning all, the Pontus quotes really stood out for me, horrible attitude from the guy, deflecting a lot of issues away from his performances, sunshine player, easy to stand up and lead when things are going well, they were not this season and he went missing, now to come out and say there I interes...
