Re: Yosuke Ideguchi

Got a lovely assist in the u23 game.

Sounds like Bielsa rates him but as with Vieira he's not in this season's plans.

Said in his presser yesterday that he'll be moved one way or another by the end of the month.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 15th Aug)

Yes. I think the same thing happened to Saiz after Christmas as the rest of our squad - beaten down confidence from general mismanagement. His Dall-off was just greater. Think Jansson is a little off full match fitness/sharpness. Not sure I'd start him on Saturday, but he has to be pushing for inclu...

Re: Leeds United v Bolton Wanderers - League Cup, Official matchday thread

Less convincing than the league games, but still didn't seem overly troubled. Good to see a bit of depth and the squad getting a run out. Thought Roberts and Bamford looked a little leggy from about 60 mins, so can't see them being starters any time soon. Impressed with Harrison - had the beating of...

Re: Leeds United v Bolton Wanderers - League Cup, Official matchday thread

Will be interesting to see how essentially a second 11 will do against Championship opposition. I'm sure Bolton will make changes as well, but all you can do is beat what's in front of you. Refreshing to see a coach not much about regarding selection in press conferences and just backing the players...

Re: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Disagree entirely  Don't think he's been hyped up to the extent that Byram/Cook etc were, but thas clearly been backed by a couple of coaches now. The freekick was hit incredibly sweetly. Commentator pointed out that it was the same technique as Ronaldo uses, which generates a lot of power and ...

Re: Derby County versus Leeds United Official match day thread

People being very harsh on BPF for the goal. Watch it back from the reverse angle and it clearly swerves all over the place. I thought he was pretty composed in general and came for crosses well. All round a fantastic performance - can't really add to what others have said! Considering we've got Jan...

Shackleton and Pearce have travelled. As has Forshaw, but he's not going to be involved.

Spurs beat barcodes - the day's started off right.

Find Spurs fans pretty annoying, plus I like the Toon being that I live here.

Jansson for Berardi
Harrison for Hernandez.
Why would you change out Hernandez?

Jansson in for Berardi is the only change I'd make, but I suspect it'll be an unchanged side, and deservedly based on last week.

Yeah right....seems fair that the EPL clubs get to decide this. Shame the EFL have no balls
I believe it was put to EFL clubs (after the EPL had decided) and they agreed.

As the loan window still open for the EFL there's nothing stopping teams loaning players with fees attached for January.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate / Deadline day (Thur 9 Aug)

Weird deadline day all around. why did it finish so early and why not the 31st? Was decided between clubs in the PL that it would be better/more fair on the less well off clubs if the window shut before the league started so that you don't start the league with a strong squad which ends up losing k...

Re: Transfers. Signings Rumours and Wishes.

I think if we had have added a decent centreback then it would have to have been seen as a very good transfer window. However we may be better suited to getting a loan player as they may be of a better quality than the centrebacks available (or available at a price we were willing to pay). However ...

Re: Transfers. Signings Rumours and Wishes.

The other three no one had heard of :duno: People had heard of them - Blackman was on loan at Sheffield United last season, Baker at Boro - Harrison less so, but you only have to read a little about him to realise hes very highly rated. They have just been underwhelming signings to us. I don't know...

Re: Ins & outs

Kalas is probably the best we can hope for. Plenty of Championship experience and pretty steady away.

Would Chelsea want to loan another player to us considering the two we've got here already aren't starting games.

Re: MOT Forum Goal Of The Month

Klich for the build up.

Loved Cooper's finish, but we were hearing all about attacking/free flowing football since Bielsa came in, and I think that first goal optimised that.

Re: Leeds United versus Stoke City - Official Match day thread

Phillips was in midfield already though as we were playing 4 at the back. Could have gone Pontus and move Berardi up, but that's still someone out of position.

CM has to be a priority today/in the loan window.

Re: Ins & outs

Honestly don't see us doing much business today at all. Kinnear said on the Talking Shut podcast that unless one of their targets becomes available at a reasonable price, we're more likely to be going in for loans. Also can't see us getting a better quality CM than Vieira on loan, but that's by the ...

Don't think there's an issue taking Mbakogu on trial. No idea why we were so keen on him, but there must be something in it.
