Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 21st Aug)

Remember the FrackARSE when the Football Association was investigating a claim by Norwich striker Cameron Jerome that he was racially abused by Leeds defender Giuseppe Bellusci on Tuesday. Ah them were the days when a defender would do an overhead kick to clear the ball. Not for Leeds in my opinion.

Re: Bielsa Tactics

Bielsa on the bucket.
It is just a bucket. It is a comfy bucket. Nothing else. It has no mystical symbolism.

Open play scoring ...Gareth Southgate get your England lads down to Elland road
It says something about our style of play that not a single goal has been scored
against us from open play. The goals have come from set pieces.
Must have some significance.

Re: Bielsa Tactics

Not only his tactics on the field but also during interviews. You get the usual questions that are divisive about whether to play Roofe or Bamford... surely you can let a 7 million man warm the bench? Or equally stupid after winning three games will we win the league? Or do you have enough cover if ...

2-0 Final score ...still 100%, last one left in the division I think
Best Goal difference as well +7 and QPR is -7
That usually counts near the end of the season

Re: Leeds United v Rotherham Official matchday thread

Assist from Kalvin Phillips... Roofe shoots from a difficult angle and puts it in right hard corner

Re: Leeds United v Rotherham Official matchday thread

Too many lobbed balls into the box and nobody gettin ong the end of them Other crosses have had too much pace on them... very few have been properly weighted. Too many passes being cut out which gets us into all sorts of trouble. Might have to make changes on the 60 minute mark. Harrison for Alioski...

Re: Leeds United v Rotherham Official matchday thread

When Crouch came on for Stoke our game went a bit ragged. I am sure that Rotherham will be looking to exploit this by using long balls into their big centre forward. Anticipation and Interception is the only way to handle this, and our midfield have to be there to pick up or challenge for any knockd...

Re: Leeds United v Bolton Wanderers - League Cup, Official matchday thread

What was noticeable to me was the youngsters were into a new style of defending. Old style defending is that you wait for the attackers to receive the ball then back off them and try to block their runs. Time and again I saw Shackleton anticipate the pass and use his pace to nip in an steal the ball...

Re: Leeds United v Bolton Wanderers - League Cup, Official matchday thread

It has been a stroll in the park... though Pontus looks a bit rusty. Gone are the days when the defenders stay on their 18 yrd line Pontus has been up over half way a few times. I like the look of Phillips sometimes in defense sometime in midfield breaking things up. Saiz is back to his twinkle toed...

Re: Leeds United v Bolton Wanderers - League Cup, Official matchday thread

Edmondson was left out of the U-23 team so he might feature
Bielsa was full of praise for his attitude and ability to listen to
what is being said tp him.
