Are Sydney the ones also owned by Man City?
No, that is Melbourne City.

They were called Melbourne Heart and played in red and white until they were taken over. Now they are called Melbourne City and play in sky blue - truly a franchise v a team.

o/t (Though not for me) - Sydney FC, champions of Australia

Tonight (my time) my A-League team, Sydney FC, were crowned champions of Australia. We won the grand final in a penalty shoot out 4-1, after the game ended goalless after extra time. We had a perfectly good goal disallowed in the first half, which the VAR failed to overrule. So Justice was done. As ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 17th May)

Quote from Biela: “Remember what I say now because you’ll be able to verify it. You won’t find a single player in our team who would be able to reproduce the same level of performance in another season because we’ve been very demanding with them. “They’ve given everything and they have figures I’m ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 17th May)

Release thirteen players? Why would we want to release so many players from a squad that came within a whisker of promotion? Do you want to start all over again?

Re: Kiko Casilla

BPF for me. He's learning his trade and will make mistakes like any other gk but Koko must give the defence nightmares with his miss-judged escapades to the edge if the area for crosses he's never gonna get to. There are at least a couple of mistakes in him every game which is no better than BPF an...

Re: Kiko Casilla

His positioning/judgement for Derby's first goal was correct. If Cooper isn't there then Casilla gets to the ball before the Derby striker and clears it. Agreed, it was Cooper who cost us that goal. Casilla was definitely going to get there first. But on numerous other occasions he ended up badly p...

Re: Kiko Casilla

I love the fact that Casilla can play football and is a generally a good keeper-sweeper. It's not his technical goalkeeping that is a big issue, but his judgement is lacking at times - especially last night against Derby. I can't see us getting another keeper though, so it will be Casilla or Peacock...

Re: Next season

Thanks for this thread Weasel I have to admit to being really pissed off after our loss last night. It was just one of many opportunities that we have wasted this season. Because what frustrates me is that I think the current squad of players was good enough to get promoted this season. I don't thin...
