We are gonna be Championship for a long time......full stop !!!!
Spot on Ronan.

Unless there is a real change of mentality and ambition from the ownership, I dont see us challenging properly for a long time.

Re: Sum of our parts

Nowhere near a top 6 squad. Both goalkeepers horrendous. Full backs defensively suspect, only One decent central defender, too many central midfielders of a similar ilk, other than Forshaw, wingers average at best, one proven striker only. Three real Class players only in this line up, Pontus, Saiz ...

Re: Derby v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH

No doubts Pontus, god what a mess our defence would be if he was not around !

Forshaw and Saiz only other contenders.

Re: Ronaldo Vieira

I have said for a while that I think we had over-hyped Vieira and believe its being shown now. For all he's combative qualities, although even that was suspect last night, he's passing is abysmal at times, even the simplest of ball's he messes up. Watch him carefully next game and you will see what ...

Re: Derby v Leeds - Team/Reports/Ratings

Surely its worth giving Bailey Peacock-Farrell a chance now. I am sick to death of us literally handing goals/points to teams when we have to fight so hard at the other end to get ours !! Cooper's headers were pathetic for both goals conceded but it just needed some calmness behind him, a simple sho...

Re: Thomas Christiansen Sacked

"Samuel Saiz was our most important player in the offensive part of the game and we couldn’t afford to buy a new one. Suspensions and injuries piled up. The squad just wasn’t big enough for us to replace those players" And look what that lack of ambition has led to, 12th place in a very average lea...

Re: Leeds Fans 2-0 Bristol City

I had fears the second half would turn ' toxic ' in terms of the crowd and whilst there were some daft and unhelpful ironic cheers to Feliex catching a few after he's mistake, the moment WACCOE started it was incredible. It was if someone flicked a light switch and the team started to play ! To all ...

Re: Leeds v Bristol City - Team/News/Reports/Ratings....Sunday 4.30pm

And Lassie and Ali from that game, Samu doesn't score without them :) IN fairness most clubs rely on a couple of stars, we have Saiz, Jansson, Ali, Vieira and Lassie. 8-) Take Boly and Jota out of Wolves, take Terry and Snoddy out of Villa, Take Hoilett and Bamba out of Cardiff, take Reid and Flint...

Re: Leeds U23s

Watched quite a bit of this today and young Tom Pearce looks very very promising. Looks so much at ease with the ball, like Lewis Cook used to. Hope this kid gets a run out with the first team before the end of the season as he looked the real deal, albeit its only 1 game.

Re: Andrea Radrizzani 'apology'

Personally, I thought some of the words he used in he's interview with YEP were completely unnecessary and totally demeaning of a guy (TC) who had tried he's best for the club. Ultimately, he's best wasnt good enough, but I have absolutely no doubts that he gave all he had. The comments by Radz demo...

As much as dislike him, and yes a lot has changed since he worked for us but we can hardly say Dennis Wise knows nothing about LUFC ?

Re: New coach - Paul Heckingbottom

You know exactly what Radz and he's PR team will reel out........." we wanted a young, up and coming English coach who has great all round knowledge of the Championship and Paul Heckingbottom ticks all those boxes for us ". I am not too enamoured by this decision tbh it smacks of the cheap option ag...

Re: List & Odds for Next Leeds Manager

Initial feeling when I heard was sadness as he was a genuinely nice guy but having been at the shambles on Saturday, we have to face reality that he was tactically very naive. He's gameplan always seemed to be about counter attacking which is ok when you score first but, as we saw many times, there ...

Re: Leeds v Cardiff - Team/News/Reports/Ratings

Penny is fit. Ekuban still out for another week-ten days TC admitted that centre back situation could be difficult but then said how 5 would be to much. Shaunie will be out for several months (TC backtracked said weeks but im inclined to go with his first answer) Now the bit that winds me up . . . ...

Re: How would you rate Leeds spending activity in January?

For me, 6/10......the left back looks decent, no issues there as does Forshaw. But we really did need a good centre half to go with Janssen and would have preferred a proven championship striker to the young kid but lets hope he comes good.

Thanks Leon, O'Kane was a 3 game ban wasnt it for violent conduct and he has missed Millwall, and Hull so I think this must be he's last game of suspension.

Re: January transfer rumours and squad discussion

Afobe joins Wolves on loan. Mitrovic joins Fulham. We sign no cb, a 17 year old who may be good eventually and a 19 year old who may be good eventually. Not a surprise The strategy all seems to be pinned on " buying cheaply and hoping they make it good " I know there are no guarantees with spending...

Re: January transfer rumours and squad discussion

Ashley Fletcher went to Sunderland too. Cant help but feel we have missed a trick in this transfer window when you look at all the other clubs in that top 6, bar Bristol City signing real quality up front, and importantly proven goalscorers certainly at this level !
