Need someone who understands this league. Forget possession and put the ball in the frigging net!!!
Heckingbottom out of work at the moment and knows the league well as both a player and manager.

Re: Ian Poveda

Not writing him off but not expecting much from a kid with no experience . Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk Last season it was Dan James we were after - a kid with little experience just a handful of sub appearances for Swansea and a couple of starts. Obviously far too early to suggest he is as g...

Outrageous bowl.

I wish Matt although I had a couple similar shots yesterday, short of the jack by an inch
I had heard stories about you being short by an inch or two but didn't realise people were talking about bowls..... :P

How many times have we shot ourselves in the foot this season?
I've counted 37 times attempts so far but we have only hit our foot once and even then it was via a deflection although Bamford claimed it.

"Getting our business done early".
Business means getting players out as well as in and in fairness they have done well at getting some players out. It all helps as it can bring in some fees and also reduce wages - all can contribute towards paying the loan fee and wages of any incoming player.

Re: Ian Poveda

Adam Pope seems to think it's done, so I'll go with that. I've liked him since I saw him for England youth a few years ago, so I won't say I'm unhappy about it. We've needed a Saiz replacement for a year. Hopefully he can come in straight away and not play u23s for a month. I'm probably more excite...

Re: Our U23s Not trusted or not good enough.

I think Cjay's point is extremely valid about the quality of opposition we play against in the U23s, the same argument could be levelled at what Eddie Nketiah has done when all his 'experience' is banging in goals for England age groups against teams that would probably struggle in Sunday League. We...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 22nd Jan) Could stubbornness not lack of a striker destroy Leeds United's seas

Or perhaps the fact that there aren't that many players that can do absolutely everything that the complete player would in the system. Which is why when Man City buy a player to fit a similar system it costs £50m+ As such you play to the strengths of the team. Those stats are highly debateable. For...

Players will perform differently in another team. He may be a world beater for us...or he may not. Nobody knows . Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk So true. If you look at our team it is only a couple of years ago that most fans would have got rid of a lot of them yet with a proper manager they pl...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

My point is that it was lack of goals that cost us last season and the same is still happening. It is glaringly obvious but because it's been going on for so long it makes the management look clueless. I'm not suggesting they are no better than we've had in the past , far from it, but now is THE TI...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 20th January) - Gap narrows as worries of burnout reignited

I don't buy the burnout theories. I would if teams were battering us and we were looking dead on our feet. The truth is however we are playing exactly the same as we have done all season and the problem remains the same, putting the ball in the net. Don't forget we had a poor run earlier in the seas...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion

Bournemouth, Brighton, Sheff Utd, Leicester, Southampton & Watford showed every club how it's done. In fact were Southampton & Leicester in or around League One the same time as us? The blunts came from L1 too! Can't recall those clubs spending huge amount of money. What they didn't do is sell thei...

Re: Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani have just two weeks to save Leeds United’s season

For a club who are supposedly setting their sights on the premiership that bench was embarrassing today. Radz wasn't even there today, apparently he hasn't been at the last few home games according to one of my pals who sits in front of the directors at ER Seems like he really loves LUFC  Rad...

Re: Bamford cannot start another game for LUFC

It actually works the other way though for me, it becomes easier for the rest of the team to score if the main striker is scoring and when you really only have Bamford and Harrison getting in the box regularly (and Harrison does a lot more defensive work than Paddy and has a decent strike rate plus...

Re: Bamford cannot start another game for LUFC

Yes, I know you're a fan but our troubles are purely down to him...everyone else is playing well. The trouble is that you can say the others are playing well but as a collective team we have failed to score in 3 successive matches. I feel sorry for Bamford in that he seems to always have the pressu...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 17th January) One year from Spygate, Derby County charged for breaking FFP rules

Lets not forget that Bielsa himself said that if the Nketiah deal doesn't work out then it will be on him. He's created this situation himself. First by selling roofe, then by selling jansson and now by giving arsenal reason to recall eddie by not playing him enough. Yes I too blame Bielsa of creat...

2. Up to now our transfer business sucks.
It does given we have signed no one but would it have been better simply to go out and sign someone simply because they were available rather than actually being what we need to improve the team?

Extremely disrespectful to call them stooges. I am sure none of them want to be injured. Forshaw was playing well before his injury, whether the role suited him is open to debate but he was playing well, if he was able to add goals then he'd have been one of the first names on the team sheet. He was ...

Re: Wayne Rooney's Derby County Need Crowdfunding

Yeah interesting timing when they are unlikely to be able to make a play-off push and unlikely to get dragged into relegation so they can hand down a points deduction which will have no actual effect, like they did with Birmingham.
