Re: Leeds Utd v Birmingham City Match Thread

Dan I know we will lose games at some stage however with Bielsa at the helm he has instilled a strong mental attitude into the players I'd expect them to show resilliance & bounce back from a defeat not roll over & die as these players did under Christiansen. We've already shown spirit coming back ...

Re: England/Southgate

Spanish coaching is light years ahead of English coaching - they will always have a conveyor belt of players that are comfortable on the ball no matter what position they play.

When I was painting a pub sign the other day I realised I had made the gaps too big between Fox and and and and and Hounds.

Re: Millwall v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Neither have I Bert, we won down there in 2005 & 2012 & I missed them both, I've seen us lose a few times plus had our coach bricked This time :) I knew you were the reason for Leeds being sh*t for the last few season. Somebody board up 64's house with him inside it and we will be guaranteed promot...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 10th Sept)

Good afternoon :) I watched the Northern Ireland game and posted about the two goals on the BPF thread. I don't think he was to blame for either goal. The Irish defending was awful and the Bosnian player who crossed for the first goal should have been closed down. There were four :duno: (I think) d...

Birmingham City have loaned goalkeeper David Stockdale to Southend United on a rolling seven-day deal after receiving emergency dispensation to add cover The Shrimpers are without the suspended Mark Oxley for three games, Ted Smith is out with a shoulder injury, with Nathan Bishop the only fit cust...

Or Vice Versa
Definitely. I think PH's attitude (and slagging off of the players) definitely upset a few of the players who seemed to down tools. Key is getting the right balance and a good coach needs to have several ways to motivate and integrate all the players.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 7th Sept)

Heckingbottom had a lot to say earlier in the season why things did not work out for him at ER! He can say all he wants but ultimately the results were abysmal and the club is in a far better place with Bielsa in charge. It is essentially the same group of players that he continually said were not ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 7th Sept)

Interesting comments from Klich. Whilst it was accepted wisdom that TC caused the rift, perhaps Klich had something of an attitude problem and did some growing up when he was in Holland and over the summer. Whatever happened, we now have a helluva player on our books. He'd have been wasted in the M...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 7th Sept)

Radrizzani has hinted that Oriol Rey, Alex Machuca, Adrian Balboa and Oliver Sarkic could all be offloaded permanently Radrizzani told the YEP 'We have a lot of millions in Under-23 salaries. It’s too heavy for this club'. Think it was absolutely the right policy last year to sign loads as our unde...

I fully agree Weasel.... conversely, anyone who thinks we will get 18 points is to be humoured, smiled at, and generally given a wide berth before the gentlemen in white coats pop round for a chat, and escort them to a nice safe room, with padded walls for extra comfort.. :) Can only presume you me...

Re: Next Six Games....

I don't know how any proper Leeds fan can predict anything less than 18. In all honesty I think anyone suggesting less than 16 should be given a two week ban - and I only would set the threshold at 16 in case some sort of freak result happens where we only draw a match due to having 4 men sent off, ...

Re: Leeds United Under-23's thread

Continuing off from where they ended last season. No reason why they can't win the league. Jack Clarke deserves a chance now. Surely he'd offer more from the bench than Dallas from an attacking point of view? I think Bielsa likes Dallas's versatility on the bench as he can play either full back or ...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 3rd Sept)

I would have liked a CB, but tbh based on how we play it's the attacking players who do most of the work, so I understand why we focused on improving our attacking options instead. Bielsa likes to play the likes of Phillips and Forshaw there as well, plus Halme is coming back to fitness as another ...

18 points and a massive goal difference too - would be disappointed if we didn't win all those games by at least 4 clear goals each. Would expect at least 2 of our players to be into double figures for goals after the matches.

Re: Leeds United VS 'Boro/Match day thread

Will be interesting to see if Roofe can keep up the form over the full season because we have seen him do well over a few matches before. Definitely looks a lot better this season playing in the central role and his goal against Swansea showed great predatory skills.

No option to buy (again). Had 2 impressive loan spells in this league. Rotherham and Uddersfield Highly rated still by the Udders fans However, a serious ACL injury has kept him out since January. He is unlikely to be fully fit(providing there are no set backs) until October at the earliest. Are we...

Re: Transfers. Signings Rumours and Wishes.

It looks like a very good signing given that Brown has played in the championship, and experienced getting promotion, and also played for Brighton in the Premiership last season - certainly seems a better loan signing than the others in terms of being good enough rather than just potential. He has b...
