Re: How's everyone's nerves?

I don't see the point of promotion only to be relegated again, that's going backwards. How many clubs go back up again after relegation ? This opportunity maybe the only crack we'll get at the premiership. We'll need to improve the squad & consolidate our position gradually & go on from there I don...

Re: They Love Us

British tabloid - build us up so that they can knock us down again if we fail to go up. Makes the story, if we fail, so much bigger. I do think however a lot of fans of our traditional rivals would like to see us back in the premiership as there simply isn't the longstanding rivalry/hatred when they...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 16th Apr)

Our advantage is that Bielsa has our team playing an unshifting, uncompromising style that differs little week in, week out. From what I understand, Wilder has done a fair amount of chopping and changing and now is not the time for unfamiliarity. Change breeds anxiety, it invites mistakes, it inher...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 16th Apr)

Neil Redfearn believes that the fixture list is gives the Blades an advantage because they often play before Leeds. Okay let's look at the 3 possible scenarios for this weekend. Sheff Utd play before us and win - we would go out to try to win the game but knowing that a point would still keep us in...

Re: Ipswich allocation

It also makes sense as Ipswich no longer have anything to play for so it makes sense for them to get the money.

Re: Marcelo Bielsa

do we think all the players will sign on for another year of gruelling training regimes if they know it (ultimately) didn't pay off? I I think most would as they would be aware of how much Bielsa has improved them as players. I would expect bids possibly for Jannson and Phillips, Clarke's form has ...

Re: Points required ?

Impossible to say as we could lose all 4 and go up, equally Sheff Utd could beat Forest, we lose to Wigan and they are back in front. Sheff U certainly look to be a bit jittery but equally they know they have to win so it might help them as they can throw caution to the wind.

Re: Luke Ayling

Excellent last ditch tackle on Hooper when he was through on goal. A few months ago he would have given a penalty away Indeed. It takes time to get your timing back after an injury and timing is crucial when tackling. If you aren't where you expect to be (due to not being quite 100%) then it is ver...

Interesting about QPR. Probably only game they took their chance was against us.

Re: Tyler Roberts

Definitely improving with the run of matches in the team - just hope he can bag a goal as I think that would give him even more confidence - he deffo has goals in the locker just a case of finding the back of the net.

Big improvement needed to play for England but equally only the same level of improvement he has already made this season - if he can continue then no reason why not.

Re: Leeds Utd v Sheffield Wednesday Match Thread

Yes that's our style but we didn't play with so much panache & calmness v QPR & Birmingham where we appeared nervy & tentative, yesterday we were fluent, cool, calm & patient even though the pressure was on to gain the three points. I couldn't believe how fresh we looked when I really thought tired...

Re: Leeds Utd v Sheffield Wednesday Match Thread

How can a team perform so well under the pressure that comes with such a important match under the circumstances ? The thing is that the team is not being asked to do anything different to all season and they are a well oiled machine. Even in the losses we have played the same way, created the same...

http://goals2.veuclips.com/player/html/4wmKw2oB8I?popup=yes&autoplay=1 The save is the first chance of the game shown on the highlights - isn't overly clear on either the original view or the replay (you can however see it on the replay) but Sky showed another replay on the night which was clear in ...

Re: Preston v Leeds Utd Match Thread

It does count as a save as he saved it - wasn't offside etc and if he hadn't have got his leg to it then it would have been a goal. The fact that the officials didn't spot it was a save doesn't mean it wasn't a save as they would have spotted the ball had gone into our net.

Re: Championship 18/19

Should hopefully quieten down those Norwich fans a bit. Reading doing to Norwich what Norwich have done so often, score late and score with their only shots on target. A win and I think they would have been able to relax but that draw can just keep them a little nervy. More importantly though it is ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 10th Apr)

Pearson deserved his straight red. Last man and all that. Good fortune for us as Bamford still had a fair run to make (at his Express speed) before taking his chance. And he messed up a one on one for his HT later in the game... but thems the breaks. Add that to the list of things that happen for o...

Casilla had no saves to make, made an important centre-back clearance though. Most keepers command their box, Kiko take care of the whole of our half The benefit of watching on tv - Casillas made a crucial save with his leg in the first half - will let you off though as your eyesight must be as bad...

Re: Preston v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Mathematically we assured ourselves of a top 6 finish tonight. Whilst we looked certain to at least get a playoff spot it is always good to make sure given what happened in the Monk season when people assumed we were safe and were talking about PJ getting a deliberate booking so he would be banned b...
