Leeds United have completed the signing of former Derby defender Paul Connolly on a three year deal. The 26 year old right back has had previous spells on at Plymouth and on loan at Bideford and Sheffield United making a total of 255 career appearances.
Bought by Paul Jewell in 2008 he made his debut as a substitute against Doncaster Rovers and soon established himself as first choice right back and was later made club captain. With the appointment of Nigel Clough as manager Robbie Savage was made captain and Connolly found himself out of favour.
Commenting on the signing Leeds manager Simon Grayson said 'Paul brings plenty of experience and know-how to the squad.'
