No news is good news...

So the saying goes, ‘No news is good news’. A saying that people say to one another to calm each other down; to reassure that silence is a good thing, a positive thing. A saying that is not good for fans of Leeds United and will not calm them down.
It has been two months since Leeds United bought Jason Pearce and almost three weeks since the club announced they were in discussions for ‘long term investment’. In this time, the club have been linked with a host of players amid rumours of lack of funds to sign them and also on the verge of being taken over by different consortiums consisting of Americans, Canadians, Kuwaitis, Chinese men and Englishmen. So really the question is what is going on?
Unfortunately we have not heard a whisper. On various forums that I plough through every day, like many others I suspect, I read rumours of all sorts carrying on at Leeds; the most recent being that our manager is leaving. Funds not being available, players being unsettled and of course the manager being unhappy all of which stirs up impatience from fans and fuelling fires that are already roaring against the current Leeds United board. But surely those on the board or in any sort of negotiation with this investment must know of the unsettlement that is creeping in more and more, so why not say something? Anything! Even Neil Warnock, who most were convinced would shed some light on the situation, has kept tight lipped. So are we set for a fall at the end of all this silence or will someone from the club finally stand up and say, ‘this is what is going on and this is how long it will take.’ No news is not good news for us, it drives us crazy and this silence is not doing anyone any good.
On another note, the new fixtures were released today as well and Leeds are in for a tough opening two months, well season really, if you look at the squad or lack of it at the moment. This would be the perfect time to announce something just so that fans can look at those tough games and think, ‘we’ll be ok actually’ instead of the reality of, ‘if something doesn’t happen soon, transfers or investment, we are going to be in for a tough ride’. And personally, I don’t want another tough ride, as I'm sure all fans don’t either.
